The Douglas DC-6B was a popular commercial aircraft that was operated by various airlines, including American Airlines. It was a piston-powered aircraft that was widely used in the 1950s and 1960s. The DC-6B had a capacity to carry around 80 to 100 passengers, depending on the seating configuration chosen by the airline. American Airlines used the DC-6B for both domestic and international flights, providing a comfortable and reliable mode of air travel during that era. However, it's important to note that as of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, American Airlines no longer operates the DC-6B in its fleet.
