The B-24D "Strawberry Bitch" was a famous B-24 Liberator bomber aircraft that served during World War II. It was assigned to the 44th Bomb Group, 506th Bomb Squadron, of the United States Army Air Forces. The aircraft gained its nickname due to the nose art depicting a pin-up girl holding a strawberry, along with the words "Strawberry Bitch." Nose art was a common practice during the war, allowing crews to personalize their aircraft. While the Strawberry Bitch was a well-known example, many other B-24s also featured unique artwork.
