Bockscar, also known as Bock's Car, was the name of the United States Army Air Forces B-29 bomber that dropped the atomic bomb code-named "Fat Man" over the Japanese city of Nagasaki on August 9, 1945, during World War II. The bombing of Nagasaki came three days after the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. The mission was a significant event that led to Japan's surrender and the end of the war.
