The C-54 Sacred Cow was the official name for the customized Douglas C-54 Skymaster aircraft used by the United States President Franklin D. Roosevelt during World War II. The aircraft was extensively modified to accommodate the President's needs, including a stateroom, a conference room, and communication equipment. The nickname "Sacred Cow" came from the fact that the aircraft was designated as a presidential transport and was treated with great care and security. It played a significant role in facilitating Roosevelt's travel to various wartime conferences and meetings.
