Southern Air Transport was a cargo airline that operated from 1947 to 1998. It was known for its fleet of Douglas DC-8 aircraft, among others. The DC-8 was a popular jet airliner produced by the Douglas Aircraft Company. It played a significant role in commercial aviation during the 1960s and 1970s. However, as of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, Southern Air Transport had already ceased.
